Upper School Grade Teacher (Grades 3-5)
Position: Part-Time Classroom Teacher (Thursday & Friday)
Grades: Combined 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to teach a combined 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured, and faith-centered learning environment while fostering academic growth and character development in students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHA’s curriculum.
- Provide instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, and math, using leveled groups with the support of a classroom aide.
- Teach additional subjects such as Science, History, Literature, and Catechesis while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management.
- Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Support students’ individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting.
- Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
- Background in elementary education. Experience with classical, faith based, or homeschool curriculum is a plus but not required.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

Classroom Aide (2 Positions Open)
Position: Part-Time Classroom Aide (1 hour per day, 2 hours per week)
Grades: Lower School (1st & 2nd) or Upper School (3rd–5th)
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking two dedicated and faith-filled Classroom Aides to support our Lower and Upper School teachers on Thursday and Friday mornings. The ideal candidates will assist in fostering a structured, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment while providing academic and classroom support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with teaching leveled reading, writing, and math groups.
- Support students with their learning needs under the guidance of the teacher.
- Oversee and assist students during snack time.
- Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Provide supervision and support to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the teacher or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Some experience educating or working with children in a structured setting.
- Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.

Art & Artist Study Teacher
Position: Part-Time Art Teacher (2 hours per week)
Grades: Lower & Upper School
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a creative and faith-filled Art & Artist Study Teacher to develop and lead an engaging art program for our students. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for art through the study of great artists, art history, and hands-on projects that teach various artistic techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a curriculum that includes the study of artists and art history.
- Teach students various artistic techniques through hands-on art projects.
- Create a structured yet creative classroom environment where students can explore different artistic styles and mediums.
- Incorporate Catholic values and appreciation for beauty in art education.
- Provide guidance to students on their artwork.
- Maintain and organize art supplies and classroom materials.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching art or managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting, with a strong knowledge of art and artistic techniques.
- Ability to create and execute engaging, age-appropriate art lessons.
- Must provide samples of past student projects and/or personal artwork to demonstrate qualifications.

Chorus & Music Study Teacher
Position: Part-Time Music Teacher (2 hours per week)
Grades: Lower & Upper School
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Chorus & Music Study Teacher to lead students in choral singing and introduce them to the study of music. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music through vocal instruction, music appreciation, and engaging lessons on composers and music history.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a curriculum that includes choral singing, music theory, and composer studies.
- Teach students proper vocal techniques, rhythm, and musical expression.
- Lead students in learning and performing sacred and traditional songs.
- Foster an appreciation for music by introducing students to composers and various musical styles.
- Maintain a structured yet joyful learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Organize and direct student performances as appropriate.
- Share samples of past student performances or personal musical work as part of the application process.
- Play piano/organ and lead choir for occasional school liturgies or activities.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching music or managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting, with strong knowledge of vocal instruction and music history.
- Ability to play an instrument (such as piano or organ).
- Must provide samples of past student performances or personal musical work to demonstrate qualifications.

Montessori Assistant
Position: Part-Time Montessori Assistant (Full day Thursday & Friday)
Grades: Montessori Class, Combined Ages 3-6 (Preschool through Kindergarten)
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Montessori Assistant to support the Lead Montessori Teacher and ensure a smooth, nurturing learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering Montessori principles while fostering an atmosphere of independence, respect, and exploration. This position also involves helping to shape the Catholic identity of the academy by being a joyful witness of the faith in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Train with the Montessori Lead Teacher to understand classroom routines, materials, and methodologies.
- Observe students and offer assistance only when necessary, respecting each child’s individual learning process.
- Present Montessori materials to students and assist in their proper use and understanding.
- Utilize various classroom management techniques to help maintain a smooth-running environment, allowing the Lead Teacher to provide uninterrupted individual and small-group lessons.
- Communicate regularly with the Lead Teacher about student observations, progress, and classroom needs.
- Assist students with activities such as art, snack time, practical life tasks, and food preparation work.
- Occasionally participate in Circle Time by reading books or leading songs.
- Reset the classroom during Circle Time or rest time to ensure a calm and organized environment.
- Supervise students during outdoor playtime and assist in ensuring a safe, positive experience.
- Provide assistance in the restroom when the Aide is unavailable.
- Assist with dismissal and transitions throughout the day.
- Review sandpaper letters with students and track progress as needed.
- Model proper behavior, such as speaking with a quiet voice and showing respect for materials and others.
- Read to children individually or in small groups, especially when they need to be calmed or distracted.
- Maintain a positive, nurturing attitude to create a safe space for children to explore and learn.
- Protect student concentration by minimizing interruptions when a child is actively focused on a task.
- Help shape the Catholic identity of the academy by being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith in daily interactions and activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a Montessori or similar educational setting.
- Understanding of Montessori principles is a plus, but not required; must be willing to learn Montessori practices from the Lead Teacher.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing with a focus on the individual needs of each student.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff.
- Commitment to contributing to a faith-centered learning environment and supporting the Catholic identity of the school.
